Giant Habanero?

I got a few of these guys when I was picking up some habaneros at a Mexican grocery store. They weren't labled, but were in the same section as normal looking habeneros. Is this some kinda huge habanero? It's about the size of a small bell pepper! The sticker on it just says "Premium Chile De Mexico" -- I haven't tried it yet (lunch!)

That would be my guess from the picture. From living in the same area as the poster and having went to many supermercados, I would not bet on it being labeled properly.

On the plus side it prob tastes great, and was decently priced!

Ah, well I just looked up manzano and it does look like that. From what I read, if it's got black seeds it's probably a manzano right? I'll cut it open at lunch... another hour...

Black seeds, nice heat but nothing crazy -- what's the difference between a manzano and a rocoto?

Well I actually planted some of the seeds in a tray right after I had my lunch, then I wired up the tomato plants that I started from seed a while back (my office looks like a garden co-workers like my brother think I'll have cows in here one day -- south facing huge windows, got to take advantage)

If the seeds sprout, I'm more than willing to share
