Here's a revisit of a culled pepper...
I mean a pepper from a plant that I removed and isolated in a different location
IMG_20240721_154348_730.jpg

Good long lasting heat and nice amount juice
But that's it.
They don't have the flavor
And they look orangish
Plant Terminated

These seeds were tossed in the
" Anything Goes " planter, where I have a mystery pepper with Huge leaves .

Intense heat interesting flavor 😋
They are little bit shorter

Ok👌

Let's go look at GCP "odd plant"

Thanks 👍

Now I can start collecting seeds

GCP ODD PLANT or plants
(3 of them) to continue working with them I will have to kill two of the plants with less heat and leave me with
GCP (S) small plants and leaves with smaller fruit

Now it's time to...

Harvest the G. C. P. (G)

Beautiful color on a few
Some look a little rough
👌
Anyhow, the plant is already growing new flower buds, so I'm happy 😁

Gorilla Chili Peppers (R)

IMG_20240902_GCPR_647_1.jpg

Looking for a Hot Snack, I found some GCP's I need to take the seeds out.
IMG_20240902_124815_956_1.jpg

In this picture you can see just how hot they are 😉
IMG_20240902_GCP_R_.jpg

🥵 They still have oil. The heat from these last a couple hours
They are my hottest Gorilla Chili Pepper and I will be growing more of these seeds.

They are slightly slower growing.
IMG_20240902_GCP_R.jpg

Waiting on the next round.

I'm feeling these
👍
Burning still

Also some peppers that grow downward

You can see the peppers are larger and easy to pick

I've found some new peppers I want to introduce into the
Gorilla Chili Peppers Breeding Project

Introducing:

CERTAIN DEATH

I'm looking for different Thai peppers. I would like my Thai peppers to grow upright like my GCP's
These do grow fruits upward.
I really like the size of the peppers. The plant had a nice structure and tight nodes
& good yield 😁
They have long lasting heat which is another good thing.
Check out his store on Etsy.
Emerald Greens Seeds

Thanks for the seeds @CertainDeath

I will be trying to see if I can use these to intensify things.
😎

What is the goal of GCP Breeding Project? Do you have some traits you wanna achieve?
And could you show what did you cross, I mean parents (weapons A and B are f1 or did I get it wrong)? Or was it open pollination?
I am curious!

This darker one looks cool, so different 😎 I am scrolling through your soaknbeans topic and have to say, I am a sucker for those orangy ones... but must say that the variety is not my favourite.

Thank you thank you so much for showing Interest in my breeding project.

Glad you went back to where I started posting it on soaknbeans 👍

The first peppers I began the breeding project where just chiletepin (Shorties)and a Tabasco type frutescens (Crybabies)

I started noticing different phenotypes

Secret Weapon A,B & C were different F1s

Secret Weapon B has been saved to F3

C wasn't used

A became the base for the Gorilla Chili Peppers

Now I have different types of GCP'S
Shorties and Crybabies

I plan to collect pollen from new pepper plants and pollinate the 🦍 Chili Peppers' flowers and saving those seeds for the next round of new seeds.

My goal is to improve the size, flavor , yield and growth of the peppers that I have
Making them big enough that they can be displayed better and make them more usable by people that like snacking on peppers but crave that heat and 😘 Love the Flavor

The new peppers are outside in a grow bag.

Multiple plants in the same pot
Eh, I mean bag

They can be Early Flowering types.

Some different types of GCP'S

Take a closer look.

hey Herbcasa, I like your enthusiasm. What is the history of seeds? If you have a list of possible parents you can think about what geneology these peppers could have

Hey, I'm excited already labeled the pot RR
to plant the next generation of seeds.

These are from "BAGSEED"
you can say...

Because ...
I never planted the first two peppers that I started with.

Two different volunteers in pots with my other plants.
One was chiltepin type and the other was an unknown Tabasco type.

These are the ones that show more hotter phenotype, you can see in the shape of some of the pods.
