Gotrox's late july 2012 glog

Started today, 7 22 2012 first attempt at an "Aerogarden".
Many great seeds from members, but only 7 spots to occupy for this grow.
Using an aerogarden extra, with recommended mix of Fisch Industries fert, surrounded on 3 sides with reflective mylar, 24 hr. light.

Top row:
Smitty---Naga Jolokia.
Pepper Joe---Fatali
AlphaHydroponics----Datil
jsschrstrcks---Yellow Devils Tongue

Bottom Row:
ajijoe--Peach Habalokia
ajijoe--Douglah
Pepper Joe--Butch T.

I have many more seeds for spring 2013, but really wanted to get a "members only" planting for fall/winter.

I am very aware that the majority, if not all are OP seeds---some I have taken out of pods I bought from members.

Trinidad Scorpion Moruga Seeds From Dale were ones I wanted to plant, but just ordered them a couple days ago, so they will be for spring or if any of this batch fail to germinate.

Pix when there is something to see.

You have a small but wiry grow going there, gotrox! Nice varieties
and I like the 'members only' aspect. Should be interesting to watch.
Will be interested in our aerogarden!

I've heard of some great starts using the aerogarden. Good luck with your grow. I just started some seeds myself.

Greg

Hehehe.
Plan to pot them into larger living quarters, and start 66 new ones on new years day.

Can't think of a better "cure" for new years eve than munching some peppers and playing with plants.

1 month.
Dumped the fisch industries today, and went with the aerogarden fert.

Bought one of these for my brother, and he planted 1 day later. We decided to try different ferts to see which one works better.
Me--fisch---he, aerogarden.

Followed the simple directions, but didn't really work with the minimum "starting" mixture---went to full growing ratio.
Brother went with the standard recommended regimen.

Getting ready to update my glog, I stopped by to see how his were doing.
Appears to be 2 weeks or better ahead of mine.

We are doing 4 of the same peppers, all out of my seed stash.
6 of 7 have plants.
Except-----pepper joe fatali.
All grow pods were planted with 2 seeds each. On both our aerogardens, 100% germination---both seeds sprouted, except the fatali. 0% on both---2 sponges, 4 seeds, nada sprouts.
Sorry joe. Fatali *fail*. But pepper joe butch t---all sprouted.
Replaced with TS Moruga from Bakers, but it will be behind the others.

All now have roots into the hydro, except the Datil. Seems a bit stalled getting out of the sponge.

About 2 weeks behind due to Fisch Industries fert.
Left to right.
Naga,
Peach Habalokia
Douglah
Datil
Butch T
Yellow Devils Tongue.

Not visible because just poking it's head up.
TS Moruga, as was just planted to replace the Fatali that never germinated.

If you haven't spent Thr money on the aero starter kit go to the store and buy them styro coolers and make your own. Really simple

And or make your own

I'm using jungle juice nutes on the ghetto one and using regular aero nutes on the aero

Yah got a deal on the starter foam when I bought the aerogarden.
Will be making my own after this one.

9/7/12 aerogarden overgrown, all ghetto hydro parts arrived, just finished the build, transfer and replanted the aerogarden.

Wild Brazil

Lost yellow Devils Tongue today.
Went out of town for the weekend, came back and it had become too top heavy, fell over, snapped off from roots.

Note to self:
Make some supports.
