it took up space, but didn't really offer many advantages of a greenhouse. I asked myself why bother?

Yea good call Chris. The few times I do keep things I am not to thrilled about I always regret it later. The things that slightly bothered you about it in the beginning eventually piss you off. At least that is how it is with me.
