It’s my first year growing hot peppers. I have a couple of jalapeños, a cayenne, an Apache, a chocolate Scotch bonnet, 4 ghosts and 3 Carolina Reapers.

Hello fellow Canuck. You must have a job on your hands growing way up in Medicine Hat. I’m sure I have a much longer growing season here. Here’s one of my ghosts growing in a 25 cent Freshco bag. Next year I’ll have to double bag, the bags are getting a little fragile now.

As a kid I stayed my summers in Niagara Falls, NY. We used to go swimming at an Ontario place called (I think) Duffiin's or Duffrin's Islands. Do you know of such? Is it there still? Vague but fond memories counting forty years or so. Sorry for reminisce but such fun there.

My father used to talk about being on a similar named island as a kid, but he’s been long gone for many years now.

Reggie, you have a good memory . it is upriver of the horseshoe falls . I have been there many times. tailgate bbq, picnics or just driving through. slowly to look at wildlife. I am not sure if we will make it right into Niagara falls today, but I will take some pictures next time I am there. Our loose plan is to just wander the back roads of wine country today.
