Approximately half of your friends dont look very happy.

Some were started at different times, and they all have been getting the same treatment, but I agree some look better than others.  I just need another month, then they can hit the dirt.

First time starting this many from seed, normally I buy them.  I am open to suggestions, should I be treating them differently?  Most are in Fox Farms Ocean Forest, some are in miracle grow organic mix.  Unfortunately, due to poor planning I ran out of FFOF and I could not get to my garden center that sells it.

How often do you water? Sometimes overwatering can lead to yellowing like that. If you keep the soil wet or damp, try letting the soil dry out for an extra day or two before watering again. If you already do that, then your plants might be deficient in some nutrients. They might just want a booster shot of something like Cal-mag or just good old Epsom salts applied as a foliar spray. I would try hitting them with 1/4 or 1/2-strength balanced fertilizer, but only if overwatering is not the issue. I currently use a 6-4-4 from Fox Farms (Grow Big) which I like, but everyone has their own fertilizer regimen.

Usually I water every 3 or 4 days as needed. I have been using that exact fertilizer as well. Who knows, just happy they alive.

First time growing from seeds gave you AMAZING results.  You should be proud.  You obviously read much and asked a lot of folk for opinions.  Once those puppies get hardened off and into the ground, they will be growing like Jack's been stalk.  The smaller ones will probably play catch up with the bigger ones depending on variety.

Folk indicating the yellow might be from too much water are probably right.  Keeping them not to dry and not too wet in containers is a challenge for everyone.  Dont sweat it, once they are in good dirt they will drain n dry just fine as long as you harden them off bit by bit.

We had 34 degree weather out the blue yesterday, but have 10 days of 50s plus so will be doing the same tomorrow.  Feels real good doesn't it?

Most if not all of the ideas and tricks for starting the seeds, I read here. Any questions I have had were anwered by members. I only have room for 80 or so plants. I started so many extras because I did not know what kind of results I would have. C
