greenhouse Harbor Freight 6x8 Greenhouse onsale $200

Harbor Freight is having a 3 day fathers day sale this weekend and on the coupon flyer the 6x8 Greenhouse is onsale for $199. Combine that with the 20% off coupon you can get it for $160 and one of the free gifts.

That's a hell of a deal... even if they don't let you use the 20% off coupon its a good greenhouse for $200. It requires a little bit of reinforcement though. I ended up using self tapping screws through the panels into the frame to reinforce poly panels. Others have siliconed them into place.

if they don't let you use the 20% coupon on greenhouse i'd recommend grabbing the auto louvers for greenhouse windows and using it on one those.

Notice the $199.99 with coupon -- you have to put in the coupon code and then the price will change from the $319 to the $199 price !

How does that mesh looking material work? Does rain go through?

I've had trouble with the less expensive green houses having plastic that does not last 1 season before it starts to flake apart.

Yeah, I was hoping for the $160. LOL

And shipping for me is $97.

I will probably wait until next Spring.

Yeah as he mentioned the 20% off code is mainly in store (online it will not allow you to use it on sale items ) - when you go to a store depending on the cashier they will sometimes let you use both even though I don't think they are suppose to. Not being able to use both and adding the $100 shipping pretty much loses most of the deal. Are there not any retail locations near you ? To save the $100 shipping it may be worth a bit of a road trip.

That's a good deal. If I wasn't building my hoop house, I would jump all over that.

I'll still keep an eye out for one on CL. I've missed some good deals lately. Lots of stuff out here in Colorado.

Green house looks sweet for the price....I am interested in that shade cloth....care to share where you got that from.

I'd recommend 30% over the 40 though. I've had some stretching. That would be fine outdoors but in the greenhouse I'm going to run out of room fast.

The mesh is just shade cloth over it to keep the heat down.

Glad you had let us know man! I took the opportunity to pick one up. I drove to one store about 25 miles away and they didn't have it but they called another store which did have it. So drove 54.5 miles one way but it was worth it since that shipping was 96 bucks for me. They told me the box was damaged and it looked like one of the panels had scratches so they would give me it 20 percent off due to the condition. Well with the coupon i printed out from the link you posted it was 199 and then they really didn't want to give it to me with the extra 20 percent off because of the damage. All I said is, so you're not taking the twenty percent off for the damage because I am using the fathers day coupon? I didn't say it in any manner other than to clarify because It was still a decent grab. She said well i will take an extra 15 percent off. I was pretty happy with that since i was willing to just take it at the 199.99 price. I didn't examine the scratches in the store just lightly rubbed my hand across them as they did and said well its not too bad. When I got home I looked and they were not scratches at all, there is a sticky film that goes over the panels as a protectant that was just wrinkled. All in all worth the 110 mile haul and thank you again for the heads up.

I will be doing the same on those panels with the screws. plan on making a base with 4x4's and then a 2x4 frame with some 6 inch verticle cedar panels and maybe raise this off the ground to make it a foot taller? How well are you able to stand under it as is?

I'm 5' 10 and it's no problem. The shelves keep me in the center and I just have to duck under the door frame.

Mine is on 4x4's and the shelves rest on the base adding to it's weight and stability. It seemed really flimsy at first but once all together it's pretty solid.

Watch the youtube videos before assembling. Instructions are some of the worst i've delt with. Will save you a lot of time and taking apart to add T bolts back in.
I recommend the auto louvers they carry, I think they was $25 each. It gets pretty hot in there so will need a shade cloth for sure. it was in the 70's  and I was like 120f inside. With shade cloth at 90f out greenhouse is only 98f

I paid $99 + free shippin'( I guess something called inflation stepped in).a super  deal..some of the panels were broken in transit/ replaced by
HF.I suggest if anyone is looking for one,go pick it up & save the large shipping cost. Its the same GH that all these goofy stores sell for an arm & a leg, they may enhance the appearance with some color, but underneath its the same..It will last if you   study & install it correctly. There  is  a garden  site that had tons of postings on installing it,b/c the instructions were poor, its made in China.. hint hint:lol: .  Obtained a lot of helpful  info., from others  at that site

I'd recommend it, though I'm already wishing I had got the bigger version.
