container-growing Has anyone seen this?

This is an Aji Pineapple. There are a couple of plants with sort of downward facing growth. To be specific these are not hanging branches. The stems en leave feel solid and there is enough water available. I'm guessing it has to do with the fertilizer, but honestly don't really know.

What do you think?

Hah! Several of my Aji Pineapple also did exactly this last year! I also thought some sort of nutrient issue because the growth that drooped was never as productive. Had it happen with a cool indoor plant and a polytunnel plant so nutrient or something going on with the roots was my conclusion.

My Filius Blue has been doing this. It seems more pronounced after water and nutrients. This photo was taken at 8:00 in the evening. The plant had a heavy watering, liquid nutrients to the soil, and CalMag foliar this morning. It seems fine though!

I see some varieties do this when growth accelerates and the plants start branching out in multiples. I'm used to them correcting afterwards. I've always thought it was beneficial trait with the effect of opening up the center of the plant and broadening the canopy by separating the branches.
