Hatch chile pepper rot question

Is this too much water?  This has happened to my first 3 hatch chiles.

That's Blossom End Rot (BER), which is an indication your plants need more calcium. Look at fertilizers formulated for tomatoes, as they are related to peppers and most tomatoe ferts contain calcium (read the label, as they don't all contain calcium.) I and many others on this site use CalMag, but other brands work, too.

Thank you for the input geeme.  I've been using calmag since I put them in 5 gallon pots.  I'm in Oregon so is it too much moisture?
