already had that one comp...or something like it I think...it was a long time ago..
 
I have this theory that early cultures had an official tester that ate and drank stuff and that is how today we know that cheese and wine are not poisonous. I always assumed they tricked the "special" kid. It never occurred to me, until now, that they just let the special kid do his own thing until he died. Then they said "well let's not do that".
 
That is ridiculous. I have no idea what would possess someone to do that!

Loved the earlier poster's comment about needing folks like The Snorter to "test the water" for the rest of us slightly more sane folk.
 
the dumbest thing I ever did back in the day was snort a big ol' line of goodys headache powder....it felt like Freddy Kruger stuck his knived hand in the right hand side of my head and tore it wide open....

didn't even think about it at the time but it was like snorting pure acid powder...
