Hi everyone - Im Richard

I've had a go at growing chillies for a couple of years now with limited success (fairly northern latitude with cool, short summer). I grew ~20 varieties last year but got limited crop before winter set in. So this year I have invested in a proper grow lamp to start things off and boost the propagation / vegetative stage....wish me luck !

Scotch Bonnets (overwintered)
Naga Jolokia (also from last year)

and just ordered (from dodgy ebay, so I could get anything !):

Trinidad Scorpion

and a couple of other milder types.

I assume a glog = blog (?). tbh I hadnt thought of it but I'll see how tomorrow goes - Im off work for the day, so I am going to construct a small grow tent so I can start my plants off in the garage - Mrs rf hates me filling the dining room with pots of soil and the inevitable plague of little black flies.

I have removed the top two tiers from a small plastic greenhouse (you know the ones - 4 tiers, about 1m wide and 1.5m high that you buy @ the local arden centre for about £20) and tomorrow Im going to make some sides out of ply-wood which I porpose to cover on the inside with aluminum foil to reflect the light then find some way of hanging the grow light. Im not much of a planning kind of person so who knows what I'll end up building :)
