Hello from Michigan

I'm a new member from SE Michigan looking to learn more about hot peppers. I am making my first fermented hot sauce today, and I am thinking about trying to grow some hot peppers in the backyard this summer. I'm new to all of this, so I am just looking to learn as much as I can. 
 
Welcome to the board, there is much information already here and you can always ask for more. 
 
DIY hot sauce is fun and thousands of people here do it. 
 
As for growing, go for it. I'm a bit south of you in central Ohio so I have a little more season length (sometimes) and often my late-season plants are in full stride when the cold weather comes back.
