I read about something like this in Chicago where a guy started off helping a small kids rec center and now has thousands of plants in a large setup. I think local restaurants donate scraps for a HUGE compost / worm farm that he uses to make tea and soil from also contributing to his success and bring in profits for the center.

I am not using Hydro this year. I switched over to nursery soil in 15 gallon pots. Using Sunshine Growers mix#1. I do supply a restaurant in Chicago and they have sent press releases out about me and the kids a few times.
