Hello! Newbie pepper grower

Hi All!
First timer here... Grown other veg in the past but thought Id give it a go with chillis this year! Im in the north of England, United Kingdom so the climate isnt great for them here, but Ill still give it a shot! Bought an assortment of different types to see which grow better and they are currently being kept inside in pots.
Any tips very much welcome!

Hello!

I impulse bought a packet of cayenne seeds a few months ago, having never grown anything before. I now have 17 cayenne plants taking over the house.

Definitely the start of a new hobby and I'm looking forward to homemade chilli jam!

Growing in sunny England, UK.

  And good luck!

Welcome!

UK weather is shocking for peppers! When mine first sprouted, they were spending the days on the windowsill and the nights in the airing cupboard because it was too cold!

:welcome: from the Pacific NorthWest, USA, Emilie!
Great to have another UK grower on the forum!

For your cooler Northern UK climate, c. pubescens
varieties of peppers might be a good choice. Many
are known as Manzanos and Rocotos, and most
are from South America.

Good luck getting into growing chilis!
