I love hearing how long someone has been growing as it makes me wonder how old they are. I started growing chili plants at the age of 5, but I had no idea of the magnitude of what could be done with them until I really started looking into it after I got out of the service. Then... I'm like wow.... there is a whole world of plants with bridge crosses just waiting to be made and utilized. Love this pepper world for its diversity, but sadly I also quickly found out that some vendors will simply rename a plant and sell it to unsuspecting customers. Lots of good still to be seen and I truly feel like we are moving forward in a mostly positive direction.
