Hi everyone, first year growing and it feels like every week theres something new I'm having trouble figuring out. I have tried all other options I could find and still have no answer, so I've come here to hoping to find a savior
.
I've been battling thrips on this plant (although very much under control, saw a few again as it was time to spray but all new growth looks healthy) and now, some older leaves are showing black spots.
They seem to show up on older leaves on the main stem (so one of the oldest), especially on the parts where the leaf was curled and flipped by the wind so that the underside was now pointing up. They don't wash off.
Any idea what this could be? I'm worried its leaf spot, but there doesn't seem to be any necrosis around them. One thing that gives me hope is that we really haven't had much rain lately, only twice for a day, so the leaves haven't been wet for a prolonged time.
I preemptively removed the worst few, but some others still have a couple spots. Is there a way to diagnose this? If not, what would be the best precautions to keep whatever this is from spreading, if it is a disease?
Thanks!
