the top growth is spindly , narrow , leaves . flowers fallen off . any ideas ! as to what their lacking ? t.y.

What have your temperatures on the plant looked like?  Is there any purpling on the older leaves?
What kind of soil are you using?  Have you used any fertilizer?
 
Also, are they outdoors...if not, what is their lighting situation? How has your rainfall been?
