Help with snails

Well the photos were taken off in the end as it upset some people, not because of the waste of chilli sauce but because of the dying snail :)

I've used building grade sand with some success. Just scatter it around the plants. Snails don't like to crawl though it; it cuts their feet up.

This year I bought some SLUGGO and scattered it around the garden. So far so good. No snail damage.

last year we used slug pellets (no-name sluggo i guess...) and we put them down one day and the next day i had to go collecting the mass exodus of snails across the lawn so they don't just go munching on other stuff. plus i had to clean up the nasty dead ones from the garden cuz if you don't not only does it go *crunch* with every step in the garden but the birds and flies have a field day. worked tho.
