bottles-bottling HFH method with heat induction liner

What if you are using a plastic squeeze bottle with a plastic cap with the HFH method. I am planning to bottle some sauces for sale and the PA approved HFH method as our plastic bottles and caps are capable of withstanding 180 degrees.

However, we still need to apply a heat induction liner. So im curious how to sterilize the caps via inverting the bottles while an induction liner has been implemented.

That is a question for your PA as to how they want the liner applied.

Using plastic bottles with a 180f threshhold is a tricky operation. Unless using very expensive bottling equipment that can absolutely maintain 181f or 182f, you will be dealing with sauce below 180f or sauce getting too hot and paneling/melting the bottles, especially after the bottles are filled and inverted.

That 180f is kind of the magic number. Minimum for the sauce, maximum for the bottle. Very difficult to maintain that exactly with most home-type equipment.

PET is 185° and PP is 205°, so I think he was referring to the HFH temp, and not the bottle maximum. But yeah ideally you want to bottle at a higher temp as it will drop and you don't want it to drop below 180.
