Hiya... I'm Simon and I'm somewhat of a capsaicin addict, and I'm hoping this forum can help me develop this into a full blown uncontrollable addiction 
I've just started growing chillis myself, after getting handouts from a friend that grows... I think he must have got sick of that as he gifted me a heated seed propagator and gave me some tips on growing my own. I currently have a brown 7 pot seedling on the go, and carolina reaper, moruga scorpion and bhut jolokia seeds to get started before spring rolls around here in New Zealand (in about a month).
As well as growing I guess my main 'claim to fame' is being recently crowned the 2013 New Zealand Chilli Eating Champs winner... after lasting through 16 rounds (about 2.5 hours) of chilli eating, starting with a tame scotch bonnet through to a Carolina Reaper for round 15... and then beating the other guy who lasted through 15 rounds in a speed eating contest of two pieces of pizza that was a pizza base covered in fresh chillis, then a dried 7 pot brainstrain and trinidad moruga scorpion which was in turn covered in Fire Dragon Chillies awesome super hot sauce (not sure if it was the Dragon's Fury or the commemorative Chilli Eating Champs sauce).
