How do I embed a video on my post?

Tried every way I could think of (even BBCode) on my last post but couldn't get it to work. Any tips on how I get a video I put on youtube to show up here?

A youtube video, you copy the link and paste it here. In youtube, click "share" and highlight that link, click "copy",
Then paste it in the text box here.

A video of your own, you need a third party, just like photos, I use photobucket. It's free.

Bump. Trying to figure out how to embed YouTube video. Been down this road before. Dunno why I can't figure it. Please help.
 
Just post the URL of the video you want to post, and the forum will automatically embed it.

Thanks JH. I'm guessing that the embed only works if you DON'T specify that the video is HD? I don't know what else it would be.
 
Correct. Any extras on the URL will only mess it up and prevent it from posting as a video. It will only post as a link instead.

You can also post a shortened URL of your video, which you can get the link for by clicking on SHARE.
