How do you eradicate this enemy? Photo

What I originally thought was some exotic ladybug, turns out to be a cucumber beetle, the only one I've seen.  I'll go back outside and crush the little guy, but, how do you deal with these insects?

Hand squashing in the early morning or later evening when they're more sluggish. They're a heck lot more active mid day. I have a different species but similar.

Unfortunately, I'm not around my garden in early mornings, or evenings. I do check it around midnight when I return home from work, and late morning before work. Anyway, I will be trying Bonide Eight Vegetable, Fruit, and Flower Concentrate. Bonide guarantess it will kill both cuke beetles, and earwigs, my other nemesis.
