How exactly do Ghosts ripen? Color Change question

I've got what are supposed to be normal red Bhuts that have gone from green to almost solid yellow/orange. I'm just curious if these are actually yellow ghosts or if they tend to completely turn yellow before tinting red normally.

yea, on the bright side those are very nice looking ones. Sometimes there's natural variations. I wouldn't be upset. Very clean bright yellow. Probably taste better than the red too
Not upset at all. Thanks for the response. I was just honestly uncertain about the variety I had. Now I'm kind of excited to see what the other 2 Bhut plants turn out to be.

Bhuts are so whored out at this day there really is no telling what will pop up
hahah. this^
Really goes for any pepper variety. It's like dog breeds, just an appearance someone decided they liked so they named it and inbred it, over and over.

My bhut plant gives me mostly red pods with an occasional bright orange. Been meaning to get seeds from an orange pod but they keep either going into the freezer or straight into mash or dehydrator for powder.
