fertilizer-nutrients How much dry fertilizer to use

Does anybody know where to find a guideline of how much dry fertilizer to use by weight vs volume soil for growing in pots?

Let say i mix 8 parts soil, one part vermiculite, one part perlite. How much dry fertilizer would one add?
i'm thinking NPK 4-4-4

i can only find ratio's per square meter groundspace

hope someone can help.

cheers.

I assume then, this isn't slow release fertiliser, in which case, why would you want to mix it into the potting mix? Tried looking up using top dressing granular fertiliser in potting mix, the information I found is 'don't use in potting mix' from professional sources. I'm guessing it's not preferred due to an inconsistent release rate.
In any case, let's assume a cubic volume of compost, 1m height and width. Assuming the fertiliser is meant to stay in the top 15cm, that's 150l volume. So I would assume the per m2 application rate to 150l of compost.
Also found this:
where she tosses in half a tea spoon per gallon which is stronger than my calculation.

Thnx Danish,

I am looking in to this to use slow release fertilizer.

The trouble i'm having today is that my soil is a little to wet so i dont like to use liquid fertilizer at this time.

so for next year i'm thinking of pre mixing slow release fertilizer to the mix.

taking 150 liter to 1 m2 application seems like a plan.

have a good one.
