Humidity

I have moved from the desert and want to set up hydro in my basement. It is a little damp already. Any tips? I'll do flood and drain

I'm thinking try to close off the grow area and use uv in the res as opposed to beneficials and an aerator.

Anyone know if uv destroys the nutes?

I think in thend it will be a dehumidifier and hydro battling it out.

Not sure what you mean in your second line.
UV is probably going to destroy everything if not degrade it significantly.
And yes, that battle will rage on as will high temps from the dehumidifier running constantly. The high temps will cause more evaporation and will in turn cause the dehumidifier to run to correct that. it is a perpetual battle with high possibilities of molds and mildew and growing media never drying properly.
