Hybrid?

Hi all; last year I bought what was labeled red habanero and chocolate habanero. It's rural Italy so that might be taken with a grain of salt, though the red hab pretty sure actually is one. To make things worse I also lost the labels of the seedlings I grew this year. Anyway, this plant now grows only one pod per node and they start from a pretty dark green, ripening to red. The shape looks more like the choc. I had last year but obviously they are not brown.
Maybe it's an easy one, any idea?

Do red habs start from such a deep green, or is it variable in some way? The suspected "mother plant" - red hab - has pods which start up from a much lighter green. "Dad" - the choc.- started from a colour like this and long pods.
