Seems like a lot of trouble, Rockwool works great. i just made another with just an aquarium pump, stone, rubbermaid 5 gallon container. Went to the hydro store, got 2 in net pots for 15 cent apiece, and the from inserts for the clone machine for 12 cent or so. Cut 2 1/8 holes in the top, add water, and plug in EXPZ...
I'm using 5 gallon totes right now,

I'm just thinking of better use of water volume.
Right now a tote is getting 3-3.5 gallons of water, and if I used a 10 gallon reservoir and just topped off I could dramatically increase the number of plants I'm growing and use a lot less water.
I pay per gallon I don't have a well.
