Indian Green Chilli

I picked up these seeds in Kerala, South India. The language is in Malayalam, and the only translation I could get, is that it says "Green Chilli".

So far, I have had zero success in getting them to germinate - shame, as it would have been interesting to see what I got!!

I'm giving it one final attempt as we speak.

Just thought I would share it with you all :P

Nothing about chili or variety name on this paper. It just says "Vegetable Seeds", and then gives the name of the nursery. Any writing further down on the paper ?

Strangely, there's some kind of faded stamp on the back. Doubt that's much help either.

I'm not holding much hope of them growing right now :-(

The seeds I've gotten from Kerala took a lot of time sprouting. A guess could be to give them more heat. Kerala is a fairly hot place.

Malayalam script is an abugida and has the largest number of letters among Indian languages, with 52 letters that combine to make 578 characters. This large inventory of symbols includes letters that represent all the sounds used in all other Dravidian languages as well as Sanskrit!

sounds like a nightmare to learn and translate

good luck whit the seedling
