indoor Indoor grow, tent size for 240W light?

Hello! I am starting my first indoor garden for hot peppers with the Kratky method.

I already ordered a light, a 240W LM301H Kingbrite Quantum Board. I am planning on getting an AC Infinity tent, but am trying to decide between a 2x4 and 4x4. My plan was a 2x4 but the more I looked into it, the more 240W seemed like enough for 4x4 for peppers. But I am still confused. There is seemingly very little information on light requirements for peppers. 99% of my info came from Marijuana growing forums and I would assume that takes more light to be productive.

Any info is appreciated!

In these days Samsung quantum led boards are very good and the price is today quite low. I don't use anymore with full power it seems to be too hard for the chilli when at 60 cm away. I grow maybe a slightly in too small area. Approx 80x60 cm. 120x120cm area is not too big. I think they would do just fine.

I'm using a Lighthouse 100x50x180cm(H) growtent for my chili. inside it i have 4x 60cm, 6400K, 24W lamps and 2 smaller lights to cover more chilies, i have the lamp about 10cm away from the chilies. the 4x 6400k 24W lamps probably would been enough.

but the growtent i would say is not necessary i think as it feelt like the plant was doing worse in the tent then outside of it, once i removed the door for the tent and keept it open all the time the chilies recovered, so oxygen and humidity in the tent probably caused more issues using a tent since it became better once i keept the door to the tent open all the time.

Thanks for the info! As for the tent, I need it to keep the occasional cat away, and light in. However, I will be getting a large 350 cfm exhaust fan to ensure good ventilation and humidity control.

Just an update, I went with a 240W and two 150W for a 5x5 tent. I may pull one of the 150W lights depending. I am not sure I need a 5x5 tent but I decided why not. I have the space, and cost was like 10% more. I will update once it's all setup!

Were you pushing or pulling air through the tent with an exhaust fan when the door was closed?

I think he's referring to something like this: https://www.amazon.com/AC-Infinity-CLOUDLINE-S4-Controller/dp/B07JB292JC that pulls air directly out of the tent through the vent holes.

I am getting one, just the 6" Pro since I went with a 5x5 tent
nah wouldnt spend 99$ on something like that for growing chili, thats more then what the tent costed. the tent was something i bough to hopefully save electricy during winter as it would be cheaper to heat up the tent rather then the entire room, if i was growing cannabis that would give profit i probably would have bough what you mentioned.

Yeah you can get them much cheaper for other ones, those are pretty much the best ones out there. I'm definitely spending way more than I should but I'm having fun with it!
