shipping International Plant Packaging

Hi everyone, I'm thinking about selling some pineberry plants around the world (as they are all but impossible to get hold of outside the UK) and was wondering if anyone had sent chilli plants (or anyother types) from the US to the UK? If so, can you remember how much it costs? and what the best way to package them would be?

Cheers guys

Matt

I send aquatic plants to the UK and the EU and your biggest stumbling blocks in shipping this way are the plants will need to be bare root to clear USDA/APHIS and they will need to be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate.

I have no idea what you Ag authorities get for a phyto, but they can be pricey; here the cost for the federal inspection and phyto is nearly $75.00

And whoever you send it to would need to have an plant import permit.....which are free, but still a requirement for plants coming in to the US, last I knew anyway.
