Is broccoli bad companion for chili plant ?

Hi, I'm new member. Apologize if this topic has been discussed. 
Some literature said that broccoli is a bad companion for chili plant but there no reason why.
Is it true? Would you please explain it?

Welcome and not sure I'd want my peppers any near cruciferous vegetables lift a leaf on broccoli look at all those aphids mmmmm they have a special place away from most of my garden for my cruciferous vegetables
