is my first pepper ripe?

Hi, i dont know what it is this is malawi bird´s eye, one of the peppers are starting to get red, is it ripe or how could i tell?

Grab the pod and pull it up with a little (but not too much) pressure. Usually ripe chillies will snap off with little effort.
 
But yeah, looks like it's just about there. Congrats on your first!

i'd just pull it and let it sit on the counter that way i'm sure no bird or something is going to steal it.

Ha ha, its in my basement, havent got the greenhous :-( so its only out when its sun and then I'm out too. Much more red today :-)
