Is Pro Mix sterlilized?

I am growing in pro mix and didn't remove my bottom leaves so when I water the droop and touch the soil. Will my plants catch something from the soil or is that just for plants grown in ground?

I sure hope so because I haven't removed ANY of my leaves at the bottom and almost all of my plants have a few leaves touching the soil and even a few peppers growing on the soil because I haven't gotten any sticks for them yet.

It probably shouldn't be sterilized or pasteurized, especially if it has mycorrhizae or bio-fungi in it, but it is a soilless mix and is usually quite good as long as it remains dry. Its also recommended to use up pro-mix within 9 months of purchase
