annuum Jalapeño suggestions recommendations

Hi Guy's

I've never grown Jalapeños I have enjoyed them on my pizza at Pizza hut

I like spicy

There seems to be multiple varieties.......... can you guys suggest the hottest and most prolific varieties

And what about Ghostly jalapeno which I believe is a cross between jalapeno and ghost chillie ??

How does it compare heat and flavour wise and do you eat them green of red ??

not ghostly but more devilish, the Rayado might be what you’re looking for. @Marturo whats it taste like besides hot ?

@Englander I believe the hottest variety is the Orange Spice Jalapeno, which clocks in at over 70K SHU. https://pubs.nmsu.edu/_circulars/CR706/index.html

I've grown a few types over the years and the ones that stand out the most to me are the Craig's Grande and Early Jalapeno. Both are hot, Early is what you'd expect from an heirloom jalapeno, Craig's is a larger Jal and is also hot. Both were productive, Craig's more so, IIRC.

I'm growing Zapotec this year for the first time, it's an heirloom and there's a lot of positive feedback overall about both its flavor and heat. I almost feel like I've missed out based on what I read from others.

Two that I haven't grown but have read good things about both flavor and yield: look into more info about Jalapeno M and Mucho Nacho. I'm sure others on here have grown it.
