Kalamansi

I found some nice sized plants at the farmers market. It is a very small citrus
fruit from the phillippine's. I'm going to put some on the pancit I bought today.
Does anyone else grow this?

Wow, lucky you. I will have too keep mine in a pot. I also have a meyer lemon that is also kept in a pot. I
hand pollinated it in February because that is when it blooms heavily.

Hi Linda,

I'm growing this tree. I also have a variegated version. Now is kalamansi season here. Nice to know you have pansit there. :)

Hi there Erwin. Those fruit look nice. Almost everything grows in phillipines. It's easy to find pancit here. Lots
of filipino's here in Virginia Beach. I hear tagalog every day at work. Some people think I'm filipino, but I'm
half Honduran and half Cajun. :P

Denniz, Wow, love that kalamansi tree. It is a tasty little lime.

kalamansi: aka X Citrofortunella microcarpa
or calamondin. looks like an intergeneric hybrid with kumquat as a parent.

They are everywhere in san diego. especially in phillipino neighborhoods, huge trees heavy laden with fruit year round it seems...
