Karoo , full circle glog

" Full circle glog" , because after 4 years growing peppers with the help of THP I believe I've covered most of the important bases there is to cover . I started with the Annuums , moved to Chinense and superhots , grew and loved the Baccatums and then finally the Pubes .
 
This year I will stick to my favourites , chosen after careful consideration.

Just the basics, but my chosen few.
 
Overwintering might sound like an active process , but this winter I've tried passive overwintering.
I put my plants in my garden shed . No lights , no heat , water once a month , just a small northeast facing window for some sun. Our temps go down to zero Celsius but not lower.
 
The plants look a bit down , but they are alive and gave me a few Roccotos .

Nice ow's! I'm trying to figure out where I'm gonna put all the plants I want to Ow. It does get below 0 here so the shed might be a gamble. Might put some in there to see what happens.

just a few Jalapenos that are from seed.
As you can see , a very lazy start to the season . Growing a lot of " others" this season .
 Watermelon , eggplant , carrots , spinach  and flowers for my daughters wedding!!

I started growing gerbera, which I know are native to South Africa. I sowed the seeds a few days ago - hopefully I get some nice flowers from them as they are among the best flowers in my opinion

Well , what a Wet Rag of a glog !!
But , as they say life happens. This past 6 months have been busy! Work , two of my three daughter are planning to get married , Trailrunning etc......
 
This season I concentrated on old favourites  , a f2 cross and overwinters. 
 
Aji Charapita , it loves the shade , 4 hours of morning sunshine every day.
 

 

 

 
 
Rocotto red , also likes the shade and should do even better as things cool down here.

Your 'limited' grow looks like it has been
successful so far, Jacques. The Charapita
and Peppadew are really loaded!
 
Looks like at least a half dozen pods on the
Red Rocoto. If it is like mine have been, they
seem to set pods by sections on the plant.
First one branch then another, etc.
 
BTW, congratulations on the upcoming weddings.
 Two down, one to go!
