Korean varieties- anyone keen

They have about 1-5 varieties here, as far as I've seen. Have a feeling most are the hybrids or have been imported. However, I may be willing to hunt some down and send on, if there's enuf interest. Getting things done here can be a challenge.I have had a really hot one, probably 300 sc units, I reckon. It was green, about 3 inches long , looked like a bang torpedo/ limo/Indian summer type; with ribbed, bubbly walls but shorter. It might have been imported.I only saw it one restaurant. It could have been brought in by the many factory workers around here.I don't think much of their chilies, but you may like em. The eating chili can be a little waxy and tasteless! To be honest, I think you may be disappointed, that's why I haven't offered. However, a friend wants a trade, so I thought I'd ask the forum, before I go any further with my research.

Hi Bootsieb,

I'd be interested in a true Korean chile if you can locate any that have good flavor. From your post, it seems like you haven't found any yet that you like or that are true Korean varieties. Responding to your other post, Smokemaster has listed several varieties -- have you heard of any of them? Anyhow, keep searching for some good ones and let us know if you find anything.

Good luck,
Tom
