Me and the wife got into the game a little late, but seeing as how we are in Florida, the plants will get lamp light the 2 weeks (lol) it gets cold. We have a few young plants that are starting to produce, and a bunch of seeds (THANK YOU SO MUCH to Durham Bull) we are trying to germinate. The down side about where we are is the ground is sand. Not a sand/soil mix, just straight sand. Most of our plants are currently in 3-5 gallon buckets and doing well!
Firstly, our container plants.....
Jalapenos!
Basil....we have a ton drying currently.
Cabbage
Bell peppers
Cayenne and Habaneros
Continued....
Thai Sun
Orange Trinidad Scorpion....one lonely pod. Has been kinda tough getting this little guy to produce.
This is our germination station. Using Jiffy pucks and papertowel in a cup method, and one of the wife's cilantro sprouts. We are working on a fairly wide variety of pepper. Again, thanks a ton to Durham Bull who provided us with nearly all of the seeds for this project. Currently germinating are:
Red Savina
Jalapeno
Butch T
Morouga Scorp
Yellow Brain Strain
Red Brain Strain
Yellow 7 Pot
& Pot
Bhut Jolokia
Datil
Using 6500K CFL's rated at 1.9K lumens each. We will be adding another 4 6500K bulbs, and 3-4 2700K bulbs once the plants are nice and bushy.
For you experienced growers out there, see any glaring issues? Comments/concerns?
