hydroponics Kratky seedling fluid level question / pic's

Hi Guy's

I've been playing with kratky for a couple of year's but normally I take a soil grown plant with multiple permanent leaves wash off the soil from the root's in Luke warm water.

I feed the root's through the bottom of the net pot normally cut a hole in the bottom as not to damage the soil grown root's. Then I fill the net pot with lecca and fill the container to just below net pot with hydroponic fluid......so far the plant's adjust pretty quickly.

The roots tend to only come from the bottom the top section of root's turn into fluffy "air roots " leaving a large gap between the bottom of the net pot and the lid...........

However I need some advice about moving a young seedling with two cotyledons into kratky from soil.

The green line is the total seedlings including to root length ...........

Where should the fluid level be yellow line ............🤔

or purple line ...... 🤔

Currently when I move large seedlings to kratky I end up like the above all roots below bottom of the net pot the air roots restricted.

What I'd like to know by moving the level to the yellow level line it would or will promote horizontal air root's higher up..........🤔 obviously in the last pic yellow are water root's and white air roots.

Suggestions and advice most welcome 👍
