Labeled Scotch Bonnet

Bought from the nursery labeled as a scotch bonnet. Most pictures of bonnets I find show them to be much more wrinkly and oddly shaped.

can get more shots of it this evening if needed

Thanks. i pulled a yellow one off last week, tasted like it was trying to be hot but not what i would expect a bonnet to be. Granted we've had lots and lots of rain so that could make them less hot as i understand it (could be wrong tho)

Like Trident said, bonnet shapes can vary from the classic "ideal" phenotype. I grew yellow bonnets from CARDI seeds that looked like elongated habs, but the yellow bonnet flavor was there in spades. Generally, I would expect them to have habanero class heat and a strong fruity taste. If that doesn't describe your peppers, then yeah I would be suspicious.

They look a little too round to be Jamaican Mushrooms (JMs). JMs are usually flat on top and somewhat triangular, and are annuums. With all the pods per node, this plant looks like a chinense.
Oh my bad. There wasn't a picture when I replied

This one took forever to start ripening, has weird streaks on it, this one still good?
