LED Questions

Hi,

Whats better for growing up peppers until spring (Where do peppers grow better and faster)??

White LEDs (4000K)?
OR Blue/Red LED Combination?
OR Red-ONLY LEDs?
OR Blue-ONLY LEDs?

Thanks a lot

Greetings

I'd use
White in 6500K

All blue works for peppers - I know several people who use Blue only.
Red and blue is what I have Blue in 400 - 470nm. , red in 615 - 630nm and 650-678nm , about a 6 red to 1 blue depending on how the string works out.

Red only is also supposed to work too.

If your just looking for growth and not for flowers the more blue you can give them, the better.  Would not waste energy on white or red but it won't hurt either.  I'm going to finish up a new white project today using a single white 400w LED light engine.  Can only drive it at 100w right now until the new driver gets here.  Cooling it could be interesting.  Its only a PAR70 but I think it will work.
