Hi everyone. So I'm a newb here. I fell in love with datil pepper sauce last year on vacation to st Augustine and been obsessed since. I bought 3 small datil plants at a nursery in central Florida this past summer, and I've actually gotten a few pods. I saved the seeds and will be trying my luck with them soon. I would like a few more datil seeds if anyone happens to have some extras to share. Also any growing advice would be welcomed. Love the forums by the way. Very educational. Thanks for listening...

hey, i can vouch redtail, he sent me 1 seed and it germinated, now i have 1 datil plant. can't wait to see how it grows.
aughhh Redtail...just one seed lol. That's 100% germanation. You are the man.
I can help out with seeds as well. They were saved when I made my first Datil Sauce last summer. The sauce turned out well. I grew about six plants, but only two produced pods. Don't know why, but just giving you a heads up that your plants may not produce as well as some other chinenses. I'm overwintering three plants in hopes that they'll produce pods early so I can make some more sauce before late summer. Good luck to you! Tom
