I usually grow a bunch of Early Jalapenos. But this year, they grew out tasting like bell peppers and took forever to cork and attain some heat (all 4 plants). This years favorite was pepperlovers's "Cracked" Jalapeno from Jalapa. They took a bit longer to get going, but seemed hotter and definitely more prolific later in the season. Growing both definitely kept me covered in fresh jalepenos from June to November.
