If I am not mistaken Filmost is in the military.  If shipping to a military APO address the shipping is the same to any other US address.  Especially if using flat rate boxes.
 
Japan to the U.S is only 10,000 kilometers or 6,213 miles.

Australia to the U.S is 15,000 kilometers or 9,320 miles.

It costs roughly AU$15 or US$10.95 per 500 grams or 1.01 pounds, to ship my sauce to the U.S.
