Memphis weather,do I have time?

Any time the weather is consistently hitting the 40s or threatening to go lower, I'd say bring them in.

Of course, I live in Canada, so take my weather advice with a grain of salt.

Your plants should be fine. Peppers don't like their roots to get below 50F. I'm in Cleveland, OH, and we're getting down into the 40's at night. I'm growing in pots, so the roots are more susceptible to cold than plants in the ground, and mine are fine. The colder temps will cause them to slow down the growth, but they won't be harmed. If it starts getting to lower 40's though, I'll be bringing my plants inside.

One more thought - mine are probably fine because we're still getting into the upper 60's to 80's during the day. The warmth the pots get during the day seems to be enough to get them through the night in spite of the lower night temps.

they should be fine, as i mine went through a few nights in the high 40's and low 50's last year and they were good, I had only one plant that suffered a little, but it it never died on me.
