I know this subject has been knocked around a lot, but, I'd like to hear only from the pepper growers who have used both types of bulbs to respond. I used a 400-watt HPS bulb earlier this season. If I switch to a 400-watt MH bulb, what difference will I see, if any? I am talking for seedlings, prior to plant out, i.e., 2-4 months under HID lighting before going outside If you have actual experience using both types of bulbs with pepper plants (not canna), I'd appreciate hearing from you.
