HELP, HELP, HELP, PLEASE, ANYONE...
i have a question for any & all for those familiar with 'wingers original recipe cayenne pepper sauce', both the yellow label & the black label, from 1986 to 1996 my family had 2 restaurants in northern ky & cincinnati, oh, we used the 'wingers original recipe cayenne pepper sauce' & 'franks's' for our wings, i grew very attached to both however, as you all know, 'frank's' can be found everywhere while the 'wingers original recipe cayenne pepper sauce' had to be bought from the distributors, which i had done a few times, within the last year i went to buy the 'wingers original recipe' and have discovered that it's no longer available, they, and i don't know who, have gone outta business???

i'm looking for anyone who knows about this, along with who made it???, why it stopped???, when exactly it stopped???, as well as whether anyone knows of any stock that might still be available for purchase???, and if anyone knows of a similar in taste & consistency brand that i could use in place of if i truly can't find the 'original'???

thank you, thank you, thank you all much for taking the time to read & for any help, and for responding...

I don't know if this is the original, or somebody just snatched the old name and is trying to capitalize. Seems like a legit company with a history, plus the ingredients are similar.

Winger Brothers Sauce

Looks like most of the "copycat" recipes start with Franks, then add brown sugar to it. Doesn't sound very good to me, but YMMV.

My advice would be to add some sugar to Frank's. Same thing but has sugar. Might add a little salt too since they add it twice, "salt to taste" as they say. Not tangy enough? More vinegar. Done.
