seeds-germination Multiple seedling together?

So I was transplanting some seedlings from my peat pellets, and I am trying to see what plants make the cut for this season. I don't have room to separate all the seedlings, so I was cutting off the weak ones, and I thought about keeping 2 in a couple of cups. Why not grow 2 plants side by side? Will they almost fuse together? Just wondering.

They will get in the way of each other, if there is desease or pests they are harder to treat since they are so close together.

I did that with two chocolate belles last year and they fused; now it's one of the strongest plants I have. I'm trying it again with some tabascos this year.

Got 3 pots of them.
On purpose.

Trimming and topping the hell out of them for house plants.

Maybe even get some little winter peppers off of them.
