soil Mushrooms in the soil

Hi folks.
These 'shrooms just popped up overnight in the pot to keep my Ballito pepper company. Is there symbiosis going on here, or should I dig them out of there?

Cool. Those look a lot like mushrooms I get in pepper pots sometimes. I often just leave them there if they're not in the way.

I don't think they'll help or hurt. My understanding is that the type of fungus that creates symbiotic mycorrhizal associations with pepper roots does not produce mushrooms / visible above-ground fruiting bodies.

Thanks for that, CD. As long as they're not doing any damage, I reckon I'll just let them be. It's always something else interesting to watch while I'm waiting for the harvest. Funny how the spores only found their way into one pot... for the time being anyway.

Well that's that particular question taken care of. These 2 photos were taken this morning, just over an hour apart 😅. I guess the sun came out
🤔😁
