My cayenne pepper plant, needs a new pot

Hi all, I've recently rediscovered that I'm a chili head so I've started growing some. Here's hoping I have a green thumb but it seems to run in the family.

I picked up a cayenne pepper plant last weekend and I need to transplant it into a larger pot. It will be brought indoors over the winter since the weather sucks here - I plan on rearing my pepper plants as pets. :)

I'd like to choose a pot where this one could develop to a decent maturity. What size should I look at getting. Also, I am thinking the cayenne will need something like a tomato cage to grow up.

Here's a pic of the baby:

Thanks for any advice!

Nice looking plant...I would say that if you got a pot 3 - 5 gallon in size would be good enough for the plant. Also, as long as you have a stake (I use bamboo stakes) you should be okay without a cage. I found cages to be cumbersome.
